Samuel is a multidisciplinary artist living in the south west of England. His current practice sees him exploring mass consumerism, mass production and how, as humans we are driven to continue to create more. More tools, more pleasing design, more choice and ultimately, more stuff.
‘Sometimes I feel like we are drowning in a world of plastic bits and pieces, with wave upon wave of more tat flowing into the world. The values of working with what we already have or what we can fix up ourselves to make do have nearly gone. Now our culture promotes having the newest gadget over and above everything else despite the cost to the environment or our own pockets.’
Samuel is constantly exploring new ways to express his ideas. He is a skilled draftsman, painter and 3D designer. Most recently he has been taking his art to a grand new scale undertaking a number of mural commissions.
